Dive deep into the International Primary Curriculum with our 25th anniversary book!

Since celebrating the International Primary Curriculum’s (IPC) 25th birthday last September, we have been reflecting on the ideas, people and moments that have shaped the IPC’s journey so far. Now, we are proud to launch our commemorative publication: The IPC: A Legacy of Innovation, Catalyst for Change, and Future of Possibilities

Developed 25 years ago in response to the evolving needs of international schools and globally mobile families, the IPC began as an ambitious curriculum designed to connect learning, develop international mindedness and engage children in meaningful learning experiences.  What started within a small network of international schools quickly evolved into something much bigger – a globally relevant, locally adaptable curriculum that would help reshape international education.

That vision led to the growth of the International Curriculum Association (ICA),  and the development of a wider family of curricula including  the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). Today ICA continues to support schools globally through engaging, internationally minded and future-focused learning.

The IPC: A Legacy of Innovation is a compendium of reflections and lessons from founders, school leaders and educators who have helped shape the curriculum over the past 25 years. Exploring the history, philosophy and practice behind the IPC, the book celebrates the impact of international education while offering inspiration for the future.

Highlights include:

  • Genesis of the IPC, by Martin Skelton
  • Mastering the IPC, by Graeme Scott
  • Developing Changemakers and Peacemakers, by Catherine Copeland
  • A Long View of Leading Schools with the IPC, by Pascale Hertay
  • The Future of the IPC: Innovating Without Barriers, by Rico Chow

Whether you are a long-standing IPC educator, a school leader exploring curriculum innovation, or simply passionate about international learning, this book offers valuable perspectives, practical insights and stories from across the global ICA community.
